Dim sim is a style of Chinese cuisine prepared as small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Dimsim dishes are famous for the unique style of wrapping and stuffing inside fresh vegetables like that of cabbage, onions or may be carrot sometimes. It can also be prepared with meat inside usually chicken, pork, beef.
Dim sims can be cooked by steaming and frying, among other methods. The serving sizes are usually small and normally served as three or four pieces in one dish. You will mostly find it in a Chinese restaurant located worldwide.
You can also find mini dim sims which is available in few restaurants. Frozen dim sims is also available which only needs to be steamed or fried and consumed along with some spicy sauce and hot vegetable or chicken soup.
